To be community leaders in early childhood education by providing exceptional quality, fully inclusive, environmentally responsible child care programs responsive to the needs of the families we serve. The Tottle Inn Children’s Centre believes that all children should have the opportunity to grow, learn and develop to their fullest potential in a loving and nurturing environment. We recognize and accept each child as a unique individual with their own strengths and challenges, and having their own rate of growth and development. To ensure our programs meet the needs of our children and their families, our teaching team is committed to knowing the children individually, how they grow, feel and interact, which enables our educational team to plan appropriate experiences. We believe all children have the right to feel safe, physically and emotionally. Children also have the right to express their ideas, creativity and feelings naturally and freely.

Current Program Information
The Tottle Inn Children’s Centre opened in 1996 as a home based babysitting business. In 2001, The Tottle Inn became the first licensed child care centre in Falmouth and remains the only licensed facility today. In 2003, we expanded to include a facility in Hantsport, licensed for 20 children, which remains the only licensed facility in that town as well. We have an excellent history of licensing compliance, and strive to exceed the minimum standards set forth in the Day Care Act.
In Falmouth, we are currently licensed for 25 children. We offer a part day preschool program for children two to five years in age. Our preschool program serves families throughout Hants and Kings Counties. We have preschool graduates attending nine elementary schools as parents travel from other
communities to access our programs. We also provide before and after school care, as well as a full day program for children attending Falmouth Elementary, Hantsport District and L.E. Shaw Elementary school through our P.E.A.K. – Programs for Elementary Age Kids.
